Reviews and Ratings
The hotel has a convenient location for ferry travelers, being close to the Tsawwassen Ferries for Schwartz Bay and within walking distance of Tsawwassen. The service was very pleasant and helpful, but improvement in room cleanliness is needed. The dining options were satisfactory, with complimentary breakfast included. However, some facilities require attention.
Although the rooms were old and run down, we managed to overlook this as we were just looking for a place to crash in the middle of a road trip. Despite being in disrepair and feeling unsafe, the dated rooms were kept clean and were satisfactory overall. The service was a mix of politeness and some issues where the staff seemed preoccupied, even turning on the 'no vacancy' sign when wanting to watch a football game. However, they were also super friendly. The location was quiet and safe, close to the ferry which made it convenient for catching the first ferry home. I could walk my dog near the golf course and have easy access to food and wine shopping. The only downside was the lack of grab bars or shower curtains in the deep tub. As for the dining, it was convenient to have complimentary breakfast served in the main lodge, and there was a nice little cafe nearby. The hotel's facilities were average, with no stand-out features.
The hotel was a mixed experience, with its own water tank in a closet for convenience but a hint of stale cigarette smell in the air. The rooms came equipped with a kitchenette and A/C window unit, making them practical but not entirely odor-free. Service was attentive but required a wait for cleaning, and there was a sense of the property being held for its land value. The location suited our needs for catching the ferry, being superbly close to the terminal, but lacked responsiveness to our concerns. Dining options were limited, but the hotel did provide local dishes and a nice little cafe nearby for breakfast. Overall, a decent stay with some small drawbacks.
Despite some flaws, my stay at the hotel was enjoyable. The room, though needing improvements, was spacious and equipped with a kitchenette. The service was outstanding and the staff went out of their way to assist me. The location, close to the ferry terminal, was convenient and near restaurants. The dining options were limited but acceptable. The facilities, especially the laundry service, were a plus.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The room was more like a suite compared to other places we stayed at, but the bathroom window and front curtains didn't close properly, affecting our privacy. I couldn't even open the bathroom door fully. The service was friendly and accommodating, especially with our late check-in. The location was great, close to the beach and a lovely cafe for breakfast. However, the dining options were limited, and the neighboring guests were a bit disruptive. Overall, an okay stay.
